I don't know I could ever work a really BAMF dog but pups and younger dogs with some time. The decoy work is more like dancing. If you get in the groove and move in the way the dog responds. A good decoy really needs to on the spot with timing. Also things like catching the dog. If it is coming at you can't just hold your arm up there. You have absorb the dog in to your arm. If you don't you can ruin a dog and seriously hurt/kill a dog. Say you have a BAMF dog hauling butt towards you. This 70-80lbs dog hits you at 20 mph. That is a lot of energy. If you hold your arm like a wall you are going to jam the dog. This can do some real damage. Good decoys are worth their weight in gold. If you have a 10,000 dollar dog and a decoy ruins it.... well it is not good.
