From a distance it looked like an accident in the oncoming lane. Guy standing in front of a car kinda pacing around...
As we got closer the guy riding with me says "crap someone hit a dog". I got up close and blocked the rest of the lane with the work truck, hopped out and sure as shit there was a little black Pom laying there screaming like I've never heard a dog do before.. The guy that was standing there was afraid to go too close as he was a badass biter(I got proof!:D). I got down to check him out and he nailed me twice. I put my hand on the hip and he stopped yellin and biting.. He couldn't move his hind legs in any way. So while looking for I.D., there was none, a lady runs up calling out Buddy and it turns out she's a friend of the owner so good deal.
We probably did a bad thing by scooting him onto a blanket and putting him into the back of this lady's car but there's no dog paramedics(note to self..) around here. What else can you do??
Didn't get any contact info though. I'm hoping someone took our # from the truck cause I'd like to know if he made it. But it still felt good to help as the person that hit him drove off.
