my mom had a German shepard who had liver failure that used to try and bite me when I would get in his pen with him when he had a bone. He was sweet any other time, but boy he was not happy with me in his space when he had that bone! he was just a pup, but died on thanksgiving when he was 5 or 6 months old from the liver failure

that is pretty young, at that age the aggression is fixable.

Do the results of that study seem to point out common knowlege or am I missing something?

We have some food agression issues with Pig and Dodge(Pig's son). Other than that though kids can pretty much do whatever they want to em with no issues.
